Are you a QA Engineer who is passionate about automation, quality, and delivering outstanding digital experiences? We're looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join UKTV on a 5-month fixed-term contract , helping us shape the future of U , our rapidly growing streaming platform. Following a year of exceptional growth, U has seen: 15% growth in direct-to-consumer viewing 23% increase in monthly active users 18% increase in registrations With ambitious plans to become a leading VoD destination, we're investing in new features, content, and platform enhancements, and quality is at the heart of everything we do.

What you'll be doing

• As part of one of our U product squads, you'll work closely with engineers, product teams, and our QA Lead to:
• Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks
• Increase automation coverage across our digital products
• Carry out manual testing where required to ensure comprehensive quality assurance
• Test across Web, iOS, Android, and TV platforms
• Analyse test results, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement
• Develop supporting tools, utilities, and mocks to improve testing efficiency
• Champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle

What we're looking for

• You'll bring:
• Strong experience with automation testing using JavaScript-based frameworks such as Playwright, Mocha, or similar
• Experience building reliable, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working with Git-based version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
