Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our team in London on a hybrid contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience specifically with the JEST framework and AWS services, focusing on designing and implementing automated tests for cloud-based applications. This role emphasizes collaboration with development and operations teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests using the JEST (Java springboot) framework.
- Create and maintain test scripts for AWS Lambda functions.
- Implement and manage test scenarios for event-driven architectures using AWS EventBridge.
- Develop and manage test cases for message queues using AWS SQS.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in the JEST framework.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, EventBridge, and SQS.
- Familiarity with other AWS services such as DynamoDB, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
