Summary: The role of QA Engineer involves working with a rapidly growing startup in Bristol, focusing on the automation of software testing for their AI platform. The position requires expertise in both manual and automated testing, particularly with REST APIs and Microservices. The candidate will collaborate closely with the engineering team in an agile environment, primarily on-site. Immediate availability is preferred for this 3-month contract role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct software testing for SaaS platforms in a greenfield environment.
- Perform manual and automated testing, focusing on web and API-driven systems.
- Execute integration testing for Microservices.
- Utilize automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Postman, and Pytest.
- Collaborate with the engineering team in an agile approach.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and Microservices.
- Experience with automation testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, Postman, Pytest).
- Familiarity with Python, AWS, and Docker.
- Ability to work on-site 3-4 days a week.

Peaple Talent have partnered with an innovative scale-up business in Bristol who are rapidly growing their team and iterating their AI platform to release to the mass market. We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with a proven background working on SaaS platforms in a greenfield environment, supporting the engineering capability of the business. You will be experienced in a broad range of software testing including manual and automation with a strong understanding of REST APIs, Microservices and Integration.
- QA for web and API-Driven systems
- Microservices Integration Testing
- Automation – Playwright, Cypress, Postman, Pytest or similar
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with short release cycles
Their tech stack is Python, AWS and Docker with an LLM integrated into a telephony/VoIP platform, if you have specific experience in these areas, it will be a great fit! They are looking for an immediate starter who can work alongside the engineering team building the product in an agile approach.
