Summary: The Quality Automation Engineer role at ScaleneWorks People Solutions involves joining a cross-functional team to enhance testing processes for banking products. The position requires expertise in API and web automation, as well as manual testing, utilizing various tools to ensure comprehensive test coverage. The engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining automation scripts, managing testing cycles, and collaborating closely with development teams. This role is integral to maintaining product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Manual and API testing for new development.
- Create and maintain E2E test automation scripts and perform continuous testing using Jenkins and SauceLabs.
- Responsible for in-sprint API and Web automation testing of scheduled releases and maintaining the regression suite.
- Creation of test plans, test automation strategies, test cycles, and test cases.
- Assess reports generated after automated scripts execution and identify bugs.
- Write APIs automated tests and DB validations using Python in the pytest framework.
- Manage the Jira board from opening to completion of tasks and meet project deadlines.
Key Skills:
- 6+ years of experience with automating tests for Web (Cypress, Selenium with Java) and APIs.
- Experience working with Postman and API automation testing.
- Strong grasp of testing methodologies for all types of testing - Functional, Regression, Sanity, Smoke, White box, and Black box testing.
- Experience with Atlassian products like Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
- Experience in one or more programming languages like Java, Python, and Javascript.
- Experience working closely with Software Development and Product Teams in an agile environment.
- Good understanding of source code management and version control systems like GitHub, SourceTree.
- Familiar with reporting bugs on Jira and defect lifecycle management.
- Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Experience and knowledge in the Fintech industry is an asset.
- Mobile automation with Appium is a plus.
- Knowledge of Grafana, Kibana, Rundeck, AWS.
- Experience with SauceLabs is an asset.

Job Description:
We are looking for a curious, details-oriented Automation Engineer who is skilled in API Automation, Web automation and Manual testing. You will join the team and help expand our testing regimen, ensuring that every corner of the application is covered with the most thorough test runs known to man, woman or beast, while simultaneously maintaining the responsiveness. We use tools like Cypress, Pytest, Selenium, Appium, Xcode, Android Studio, TestFlight, Kibana, Rundeck, Jira, Xray, Jenkins. We believe in evaluating better technologies in order to continuously improve our testing efficiency and coverage. While we value expertise with the tools above, we know that smart QEs are great learners as well. Quality Engineering is an integral part of the product development team and closely involved in every step along the way - from ideation of the project, during implementation, and to the final deployment. Assuring the quality of our product is a heavy responsibility. Our development team builds in rapid iterations and our QE team needs to respond to that. As a Quality Automation Engineer, you will be working in a cross functional team of designers, developers, product and project managers to build the automated test cycles for the world class banking products focused on the next generation workers.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform Manual and API testing for the new development.
- Create and maintain E2E test automation scripts and perform continuous testing using Jenkins and SauceLabs by keeping a high automation ration.
- Responsible for in-sprint API and Web automation testing of the scheduled releases and maintaining the regression suite
- Creation of test plans, test automation strategies, test cycles and test cases. Assess the reports generated after automated scripts execution and identify bugs
- Write APIs automated tests and DB validations using Python in the pytest framework.
- Responsible for managing the Jira board from opening to completion of tasks and target to meet the deadline of the project
Qualifications and Skills
- 6+ years of experience with automating tests for Web(Cypress, Selenium with Java) and APIs.
