Summary: NTU International A/S is seeking a Quality Assurance and Technical Coordination Expert to support the implementation of the EU-funded project aimed at developing a sustainable agri-food system in Uzbekistan. The role requires expertise in agricultural policy and governance, with a focus on enhancing food security and income for smallholder farmers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the core team in the implementation of the EU-funded project.

  • Produce and critically assess high-quality analytical outputs related to agricultural policy.

  • Proficient knowledge of English (C1 level minimum); working knowledge of Russian is an asset.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in agricultural policy or rural development.
  • Demonstrated capacity to produce high-quality analytical outputs.
  • Experience in policy research, academia, or senior advisory roles.
  • Direct experience within public administration in an agricultural policy function is an asset.

Detailed Description From Employer:

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: EU assistance for the Uzbekistan AgriFood Development Strategy 2020–2030 and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project. The overall objective of this assignment is to contribute to the development of a sustainable market-oriented and inclusive agri-food system that will increase farm income, expand livelihood opportunities and enhance food security for smallholder farmers, women and the most vulnerable groups in Uzbekistan.

Location : Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Duration : The intended start date is 01 October 2026 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 48 months from this date.

Key Expert: Quality Assurance and Technical Coordination Expert

Minimum Qualifications and skills: Master's degree in agriculture, agri-economics, rural development, natural resource management, public policy or a directly related discipline; or a Bachelor's degree plus four years of relevant professional experience. Proficient knowledge of English (written and oral), minimum C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. Working knowledge of Russian is an asset.

General professional experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in agricultural policy, rural development or agrifood sector governance, demonstrating broad thematic exposure across areas relevant to this contract.

Specific professional experience: Demonstrated capacity to produce or critically assess high-quality analytical outputs — policy studies, sector assessments, regulatory analyses or training curricula — across any agricultural policy domain. Experience in policy research, academia or senior advisory roles is considered particularly relevant. Direct experience within a public administration in an agricultural policy function. ( Asset )
