Summary: The Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer role at Birmingham Children’s Trust involves supporting the continuous improvement of social work practices for children and families. The position requires a qualified social work practitioner who is passionate about enhancing service quality and mentoring others. Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and moderate practice evaluations.
  • Work alongside research and QA specialists to analyze complex information and data.
  • Link performance and practice to improvement activities.
  • Mentor and support social work practitioners in recognizing quality standards.
  • Attend meetings to share findings and celebrate best practices.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the Trust.
  • Apply relationship-based and trauma-informed practices in all work aspects.
  • Hold difficult conversations to enhance practice.
