Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer

Summary: The Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer role at Birmingham Children’s Trust involves supporting the continuous improvement of social work practices for children and families. The position requires a qualified social work practitioner who is passionate about enhancing service quality and mentoring others. The role is hybrid, requiring two days in the office each week, and focuses on conducting practice evaluations and delivering improvement activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake and moderate practice evaluations.
• Work alongside research and QA specialists to analyze complex information and data.
• Link performance and practice to improvement activities.
• Mentor and support social work practitioners in recognizing quality standards.
• Attend meetings to share findings and celebrate best practices.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the Trust.
• Apply relationship-based and trauma-informed practices in all work aspects.
• Hold difficult conversations to enhance practice.
