Summary: The role of Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (QTVI) involves providing specialized support and guidance to children and young people with vision impairments across various educational settings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice, information, and support for children and young people with vision impairments.
  • Work across various educational settings and with families to ensure effective support.
  • Support and advise families/carers and professionals throughout the child's developmental and educational journey.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in working with visually impaired children and young people.
  • Contribute to the wider Education Inclusion Team while working independently.
