Summary: The role of Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (QTVI) involves providing specialized support and guidance to children and young people with vision impairments across various educational settings. This part-time position requires a qualified teacher who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential and is capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a supportive team. The role emphasizes the importance of interpersonal skills and organizational abilities to effectively meet the needs of students aged 0 to 25 years. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice, information, and support for children and young people with vision impairments.
- Work across various educational settings and with families to ensure effective support.
- Support and advise families/carers and professionals throughout the child's developmental and educational journey.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in working with visually impaired children and young people.
- Contribute to the wider Education Inclusion Team while working independently.
