ASCL is looking to appoint a new member of our legal team on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of maternity leave.

Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can build positive working relationships with members, colleagues, external solicitors, barristers and other stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential, as is a commitment to providing a high-quality service to members.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working alongside a team of experienced solicitors and reporting directly to ASCL's Senior Solicitor, the successful candidate will be a qualified employment solicitor with excellent legal knowledge, strong advocacy skills and the ability to provide clear, practical and effective advice.
They will be confident responding to legal queries from members, officers and colleagues, managing cases independently, and representing members before employment tribunals, regulatory bodies and courts.
The role also requires the ability to deliver presentations and training, contribute to the development of ASCL's legal services, and keep abreast of legal developments affecting the employment/education sector.
