Pay: £140 - £250 per day (dependent on experience)

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school on the Wirral who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from January 2026 until the end of the Summer Term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or early career teacher who can deliver engaging, creative lessons and foster a positive learning environment where all children can flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.

• Support pupils in developing their phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy skills.

• Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity and confidence.

• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, providing feedback to parents and senior staff.

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil development.

• Take part in all aspects of school life including staff meetings, parent consultations, and school events.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.

• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and phonics teaching.

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
