Summary: This role is for a Qualified Accountant specializing in Financial Reporting, focusing on post month-end analysis and senior stakeholder reporting within a multinational consumer technology organization. The position requires a qualified accountant who can effectively communicate financial performance and influence outcomes rather than merely processing transactions. The role is hybrid, with approximately two days per week in the office, and is a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave until March 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse monthly financial results following close, focusing on key movements across P&L and balance sheet
- Prepare clear, concise financial commentary for senior stakeholders
- Present monthly financials to leadership in a calm, structured manner
- Support US GAAP group reporting submissions and respond to group-level queries
- Assist with UK GAAP statutory reporting activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including month-end retrospectives
- Investigate variances and accounting queries independently
- Support SOX-related controls within the reporting process
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Proven experience in a reporting or analytical finance role
- Strong understanding of balance sheet and P&L movements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working autonomously in a deadline-driven environment
- Exposure to US GAAP and UK GAAP
- SAP experience beneficial but not essential

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with at least three to four years' post-qualification experience, strong reporting credentials and the confidence to explain financial performance to senior stakeholders. You will be analytical, articulate and able to influence without authority.
