Summary: The QA/QC Welding Inspector will play a crucial role in the Offshore Wind Farm Project by ensuring quality control and compliance with technical specifications and industry standards during the fabrication process. The inspector will conduct inspections, attend meetings, and monitor supplier performance while reporting non-conformities and maintaining documentation. The position requires flexibility in travel and shift patterns, along with specific certifications and qualifications. Fluency in English is mandatory, with Italian being highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections as per the Request for Inspection (RFI), Purchase Order, and project specifications
- Attend Pre-Production Meetings (PPM) as required
- Ensure manufacturing documentation is up to date and approved for construction
- Identify and report non-conformities to suppliers and project management
- Monitor corrective actions such as rework or repair
- Assess and report on Supplier HSE Performance
- Prepare and submit Inspection Notes and IVRs
- Review and approve As-Built documentation
Key Skills:
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection Certification or equivalent
- Fluent in English
- Flexibility to travel between fabrication sites and work different shift patterns
- EU working rights
- PCN Level II in MPI, UT, RT, DPI
- NACE Level II Coating Inspection or equivalent
- Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant experience
- Electrical and hydraulic inspection knowledge
- Fluent in Italian (highly desirable)
- International experience
