Summary: The QA Tester role requires candidates to hold valid SC Clearance and involves both manual and automated testing within Agile delivery teams. The position is primarily based in Telford, Shropshire, with a hybrid working arrangement. The tester will be responsible for executing test activities, documenting test coverage, and collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test activities and perform manual and automated testing on projects.
- Work in Agile delivery teams and assist in writing a Test Approach document.
- Define test activities, tasks, and deliverables.
- Document test coverage Matrix on projects.
- Carry out Functional System Testing and Integration Testing.
- Support E2E testing on one or more projects.
- Analyze customer requirements and technical documentation to identify test scenarios.
- Write test scripts and prepare test data for execution.
- Provide regular test status reports to Project Managers.
- Identify and raise project and product risks and issues.
Key Skills:
- Active SC Clearance.
- ISTQB Software Foundation Certification.
- Experience in Functional System Testing (writing and executing tests).
- Test Automation proficiency.
- Proficiency with Test Tools (e.g., Postman).
- Agile methodology experience.
- Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Data Migration.
- Strong skills in SQL, Oracle, or other databases.
- AWS Experience.
- Ability to define and document Test Approaches and Test Completion reports.
- Proficiency with JIRA and Test Management Tools (e.g., Jira Zephyr Scale, GIT).
- ETL experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Integration Testing.

One of our Blue Chip clients is urgently looking for a QA Tester.
Candidates must hold a valid SC Clearance.
This role is based 2 days onsite in Telford, Shropshire.

This is a hands-on technical QA Role, executing test activities and performing manual and automated testing on projects. The role will involve working in Agile delivery teams, helping writing a Test Approach document, defining the test activities, tasks and deliverables. Documenting test coverage Matrix on projects. Carrying out Functional System Testing and Integration Testing, supporting E2E testing on one or more projects. Analysing customer requirements and technical documentation, identifying test scenarios, writing test scripts (manual and automating tests), test data preparation and executing manual and automated tests. This role requires an excellent understanding of test techniques and Risk Based Testing (RBT) in order to verify outcomes against the expected results. The QA will be working closely with the delivery team, key project stakeholders and other external supplier test teams to achieve successful delivery and the required business objectives. Providing regular test status reports to the Project Managers, identifying, and raising project & product risks and issues.
