Summary: The QA Test Lead (CCH Tagetik) is responsible for developing and managing the testing strategy and quality assurance approach for Tagetik implementations. This role involves validating financial processes, coordinating user acceptance testing, and leading QA activities while mentoring junior resources. The position requires extensive experience in software testing, particularly with CCH Tagetik, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. The role is based in Central London and operates within IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the overall testing strategy, test plans, and quality assurance approach for Tagetik implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Assess functional and technical specifications to ensure appropriate test coverage and system testability.
- Validate core financial processes within Tagetik, including consolidations, allocations, intercompany eliminations, journal entries, and currency conversion.
- Conduct data reconciliation and variance analysis across source systems, Tagetik, and reporting outputs.
- Verify Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting, and Reporting results align with defined business and financial rules.
- Create and execute comprehensive functional, regression, and negative test scenarios.
- Record, monitor, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with development and project teams to ensure timely fixes.
- Coordinate and support UAT activities, including walkthrough sessions, defect review meetings, and obtaining business approvals.
- Produce UAT progress reports, testing metrics, and final sign-off documentation for stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve regression efficiency through automation and reusable testing assets within Tagetik environments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across QA standards, processes, templates, and delivery methodologies.
- Lead QA activities on Tagetik programmes, including mentoring junior QA resources and coordinating both offshore and onsite testing teams.
- Work collaboratively with Finance SMEs, Functional Consultants, and Integration teams to resolve issues and ensure release readiness.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, including strong hands-on experience with CCH Tagetik testing.
- Proven background in testing EPM/CPM platforms and financial systems.
- Strong understanding of Financial Consolidation, FP&A, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Reporting processes.
- Knowledge of financial governance, audit compliance, and period-end close processes.
- Skilled in test case preparation, defect lifecycle management, and coordination of SIT/UAT activities.
- Experience performing data validation using SQL queries and data extracts.
- Exposure to automation frameworks and performance testing tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail.
- Comfortable working within Agile and iterative project delivery environments.
