Summary: The QA Test Engineer role at TariffTel involves ensuring the quality and usability of their tariff classification systems through functional and scope testing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently while collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders
  • Attend the London office 2–3 days per week
  • Test new features and enhancements with fast feedback cycles
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and datasets
  • Document test results, defect reports, and summaries for stakeholders
  • Identify functional, usability, security, and performance risks early
  • Clearly communicate defects and guide developers to problem areas
  • Validate APIs and UI behaviour across environments
  • Contribute to building a structured product and test documentation library
  • Support the transition from manual testing toward automated testing, where appropriate

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles with hands-on experience
  • Proven experience in manual functional and scope testing
  • Solid background in API and UI testing
  • Good understanding of databases, data structures, and modern development workflows
  • Experience working with Jira
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and constructively with developers
  • Experience working with Azure, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines (desirable)
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks like Playwright (desirable)
  • Exposure to performance, security, or non-functional testing (desirable)
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, iterative development environments

As part of our next phase of growth, we are investing in a new suite of applications built using modern engineering practices, cloud-native tooling, and clean architecture principles.

The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced QA Test Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of our flagship tariff classification systems. You will work closely with developers, product stakeholders, and leadership, testing features with quick turnaround cycles and providing clear, actionable feedback. This role is focused on functional and scope testing of active development work, with an eye toward improving overall product quality and readiness for scale. Our technology stack includes .NET, SQL Server, Angular, and Azure , supported by GitHub Actions, Jira , and modern DevOps practices. Experience in this ecosystem is desirable. This is a fixed-term contract , aligned with the delivery timeline of the product suite.

Your Role & Responsibilities
