Summary: The role of QA/QC Inspector requires a certified professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in welding inspection, specifically with CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification. The inspector will support quality assurance and control efforts on-site for a high-profile project in Barrow-in-Furness, ensuring compliance with industry standards throughout the welding and fabrication processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality, consistent, and competent inspection services before, during, and after welding, in compliance with company and project requirements.
- Ensuring all work is executed safely and with zero negative impact on personnel, the environment, or assets.
- Reading and interpreting relevant procedures, policies, drawings, and job cards to guide inspection activities.
- Supporting construction teams with integrated QA/QC inspection services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compiling complete and accurate quality documentation in accordance with contractual and company standards.
- Applying strong working knowledge of fabrication, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and welding inspection techniques, including Visual Testing (VT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dimensional Inspection.
Key Skills:
- CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 Welding Inspector certification.
- CSWIP/PCN Level II in Penetrant Testing.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Welding Inspector.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices within a QA/QC environment.
- PCN Level II in Magnetic Particle Inspection and Radiographic Interpretation (preferred).
- BGAS-CSWIP/ICorr/NACE Coatings Inspector Certification (preferred).
- Existing DV/SC Security Clearance (preferred).

Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced QA/QC Inspector to join our team, based in Barrow-in-Furness. Your Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Quality Manager and supporting the Site Quality Lead Team, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality, consistent, and competent inspection services before, during, and after welding, in compliance with company and project requirements.
- Ensuring all work is executed safely and with zero negative impact on personnel, the environment, or assets.
- Reading and interpreting relevant procedures, policies, drawings, and job cards to guide inspection activities.
- Supporting construction teams with integrated QA/QC inspection services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compiling complete and accurate quality documentation in accordance with contractual and company standards.
- Applying strong working knowledge of fabrication, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and welding inspection techniques, including:
- Visual Testing (VT)
- Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Dimensional Inspection
You will have the following Qualifications & Experience
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector.
- CSWIP/PCN Level II in Penetrant Testing.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Welding Inspector.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices within a QA/QC environment.
