We are looking for a new QA to join the PM shift. As QA you will hold an essential support role to the food safety team, being responsible for various checks, verification activities and audits related to food safety, quality and integrity. You will assist in assuring compliance to site policies, procedures and customer COPs. This is a shop floor-based role so is suitable for someone who enjoys a hands-on position and requires building a strong working relationship with Production. The hours of work are 14.00 to 23.15 Monday to Friday (42.5 hours per week).

Specific Tasks

  • Food Hygiene training
  • Some previous working knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene, HACCP & BRC
  • Previous knowledge/experience of Non-Conformance management
  • QA/Technical experience & experience of External audits (BRC)
  • A good level of computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point), competent in report writing
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate precise information to help deal with food safety incidents
  • Experience of working within a factory environment
  • Internal audit skills, ability to complete an internal audit, communicate and close the actions
  • Complaints / Non-Conformances investigation experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
