Summary: The QA Engineer role focuses on ensuring quality assurance within the Transactional Banking program, requiring expertise in both manual and automated testing. The position demands immediate availability and involves collaboration with development teams to deliver high-quality software. Candidates should possess strong automation skills and experience in various testing methodologies. The role is hybrid, requiring three days of on-site work per week in Central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute quality assurance for multiple applications across the platform.
- Conduct both manual and automated testing on projects and BAU tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Document the test process for software at all levels of the development process.
- Implement the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines and Octopus.
- Perform extensive API testing, including REST and SOAP.
- Engage in mobile testing as an additional benefit.
Key Skills:
- Automation testing experience with xUnit, Nunit, MS Playwright, RestSharp.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C# in Dotnet.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the testing competency.
- ISEB/ISTQB qualifications.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Cosmos DB.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes.

Description
Client is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer in the Transactional Banking program. The person must take responsibility for designing, developing, and executing quality assurance for multiple applications across the platform. Testing will be both manual and automated & could be on projects or BAU’s. Automation knowledge and experience is key. The automation engineer will work closely with the development team to ensure high-quality software delivery and will be responsible for testing and documenting the test process for the software at all levels of the development process.
Experience:
- Azure Pipelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in automation testing with xUnit, Nunit, MS Playwright, RestSharp
- Experience in programming languages such as C# in Dotnet
- Soft skills like good communication skills
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.
- Min 5 years’ experience in the testing competency
