Summary: Expleo is looking for a skilled QA Engineer for a 10-month fixed-term contract in the Warwick, Gaydon area. The role focuses on managing quality within vehicle programme delivery, ensuring key quality targets are met throughout the development process. The successful candidate will drive quality plans, manage risks, and support engineering delivery to enhance product quality and business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of quality maturation via assessment and validation of Critical to Quality deliverables through to Gateway approval.
  • Develop and drive Whole Life Quality Plans to meet quality targets and reduce Things Gone Wrong (TGW).
  • Drive the Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) process from IPB build through to post-delivery, resolving problems and reducing TGW.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all programme deliverables under the programme quality team's responsibility.
  • Manage risks and issues at the gateway with risk and recovery plans for undelivered deliverables.
  • Support engineering delivery with Evidence Based Engineering Reviews and other forums to provide quality input and risk assessment.
  • Lead lessons learned events and drive continuous improvement in product and business processes.

Key Skills:

  • Understanding of programme and project management with knowledge of delivery frameworks and gateway governance.
  • Ability to present complex issues clearly to various business levels.
  • Experience with customer and competitor insight data for product decisions.
  • Familiarity with Failure Mode Avoidance methodology within systems engineering.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally at all levels for customer-focused decisions.
  • Results-driven with the ability to deliver in demanding environments.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying complex ideas to stakeholders.
  • Resilient and motivated individual capable of working flexibly under pressure.
  • Transparent and dependable with a customer-first mindset.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as APQP, ISO9001 & IATF 16949 is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering problem-solving tools like 8D and Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred.
