Summary: The role of QA Engineer involves working on a high-profile infrastructure project in Hillingdon, requiring extensive experience in construction projects, particularly in QA processes. The position is office-based and focuses on documentation management, collaboration with project teams, and ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing documentation for audits and managing project information effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on construction projects including earthworks, RC structures, and service/drainage installation as a QA Engineer.
- Upload documentation to contractors' SharePoint.
- Collaborate with the project team and supply chain to maintain assurance for works, including inspections and documentation.
- Monitor, manage, upload, and distribute project information to the project team.
- Prepare documentation for external audits to satisfy certification requests.
- Identify relevant material specifications and upload them for approval.
- Raise Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding project information.
- Identify and address potential issues proactively.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience as a QA Engineer on construction projects.
- Competence in documentation management and SharePoint.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and supply chains.
- Experience working with designers and specifications.

Gortmore are working with a leading contractor who are looking for a QA Engineer on a high-Profile Infrastructure Project in the Hillingdon area. This is a long-term role and the role will be entirely office based.
The candidate must:
- Have Previous experience working on Construction Project’s, Earthwork, RC Structures, service/drainage installation, etc, as a QA Engineer.
- Must be competent in uploading documentation to contractors share point.
- Be able to work collaboratively with the Project Team, supply chain, to maintain continuing assurance for the works, including inspections, documentation and benchmarking.
- Must have previous experience working with designers and specifications.
- Monitoring, manage, upload and distribute project information to project team.
- During external Audits prepare documentation to satisfy requests for certification.
- Must be able to identify the relevant material Specifications required for carrying out the works and upload to shared point for approval.
- Must be able to raise ITP’s, RFI’s KPI’s, etc.
- Have excellent communication skills and in distributing project information to work colleagues.
- Have excellent problem-solving capabilities and be able to raise any potential issues.
- A vehicle and Fuel Card will be provided.
