We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer to join our dynamic team and support the delivery of digital services, applications, and systems for the buyer. The role will involve designing and implementing testing solutions, developing automation frameworks and test scripts, managing and supporting the test team, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications and services.
The successful candidate must hold active SC clearance and be available to start immediately.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand application features and create robust test plans.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify issues and ensure software quality.
- Develop and maintain test frameworks and tools to support automated testing.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve test coverage and code quality.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and work with developers to resolve them.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation.
Requirements
- Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation test frameworks for UI and API testing.
- Strong expertise in test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Karate, Selenium, Serenity, Cucumber BDD, JUnit, TestNG, or similar technologies.
- Strong experience in developing automated test scripts using programming and Scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and TypeScript.
- Experience working on public sector projects.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, Shift Left principles, and tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of Agile ways of working and the application of Shift Left testing principles throughout the software development life cycle.
- Proven experience as a Java Developer in Test or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
