Summary: The QA Engineer role involves ensuring quality assurance and enhancement throughout the software development lifecycle using both automated and manual testing methods. This position is a hybrid role, combining office and remote work, and is offered on a fixed-term contract until June 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience in various testing types and automation tools, contributing to the overall quality of the software produced. Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting a range of different types of testing, including functional and non-functional.
- Working with Lead QA Engineer to implement automation and non-functional testing strategy.
- Building and maintaining existing automated test suites, ensuring a CI/CD approach is supported.
- Experience with both the Selenium (Java) and Cypress (Javascript) frameworks.
- Checking and reviewing QA Engineer PRs.
- Driving the ‘shift left’ concept by bringing the testing and quality criteria in the early stages of the product development lifecycle.
- Training and coaching the scrum team and Junior Testers to enhance their knowledge of agile testing.
- Triaging issues to identify defects and documenting the investigation and testing of fixes.
- Working with Developers to contribute a testing perspective on areas of high risk.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of coding languages, e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript.
- Experience in conducting a range of different types of testing, including functional and non-functional.
- Experience in automation testing and tools such as Selenium/Java & Cypress/JavaScript.
- Experience of working in an Agile environment.
- Full SDLC exposure / full testing life cycle exposure.
- Technical ability to analyse and/or prepare documentation.

- Desirable or willing to work towards ISTQB Agile Tester qualification and ISTQB Foundation accreditation.

About The Role
Are you an experienced QA Engineer looking for an opportunity with a progressive, exciting, market leading company? If so then we have a fantastic opportunity to join our Testing team on a fixed term contract until the end of June 2026. As a QA Engineer you would be responsible for the quality assurance and enhancement within the development lifecycle through a combination of automated and manual testing procedures to ensure the software created is fit for purpose. The role is a hybrid position, with a mix of office based and remote home based working.

- Working with Lead QA Engineer to implement automation and non-functional testing strategy
- Building and maintaining existing automated test suites, ensuring a CI/CD approach is supported
- Experience with both the Selenium (Java) and Cypress (Javascript) frameworks
- Checking and reviewing QA Engineer PRs
- Driving the ‘shift left’ concept by bringing the testing and quality criteria in the early stages of the product development lifecycle, representing quality assurance through refinement, testing, delivery, release and deployment, making suggestions on the approach, tooling and technology based on experience and knowledge
- Training and coaching the scrum team and Junior Testers to enhance their knowledge of agile testing and the shared responsibility for quality in an agile team
- Triaging issues to identify the defect and the steps to reproduce it, accurately documenting including investigation, and testing of the fixes to address these
- Working with the Developers in the team to contribute a testing perspective on areas of high risk to help shape the unit test coverage

The ideal QA Engineer will be/have:
- Knowledge of coding language, e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript
