  • Championing change regarding the usage of increased automation throughout the QA process.
  • Working closely with development teams in an Agile environment.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience using C#, Python, and SQL (Java is also acceptable, but C# is preferred).
  • Previous experience of working in a CI/CD environment.
  • Track record in assessing current testing coverage state and formulating future target states.
  • Previous experience in spearheading organisational change through innovative automation methods, e.g., building an automation framework from scratch.
  • Previous experience working in financial services.

Salary (Rate): £750 daily

QA Engineer; Developer-in-Test; C#; Python

One of my clients, a reputable Bank, are looking to hire a hands-on QA Engineer to join a team in their London office working on a diverse range of innovative, highly technical projects. You will own the test delivery for projects, but also help the Bank establish new testing strategies and approaches that will help determine where and when they can automate processes further.

Some basic responsibilities for this role include:

  • Testing business functionality on real-time C#-based trading applications.
  • Assessing current test coverage state and leading the transition to future state that you have designed
  • Understanding the architecture used within the firm whilst also identifying areas where they can automate further.
  • Functional and non-functional testing of intricate, highly distributed systems.
  • Championing change regarding the usage of increased automation throughout the QA process.
  • Working closely with development teams in an Agile environment.

To be right for a role like this, you must have a grasp of the following:

  • Previous experience using C#, Python and SQL (Java is also OK, but C# is the preference)
  • Previous experience of working in a CI/CD environment
  • Track record in assessing current testing coverage state and formulating future target states
  • Previous experience in spearheading organisational change through innovative automation methods e.g: building an automation framework from scratch
  • Previous experience working in financial services

The Bank will require this person to be in their London office 3-4 times a week
