Summary: The QA Engineer role is a 12-month contract position focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of high-traffic, cloud-based services. The engineer will work within a cross-functional team, collaborating with Product, Delivery, and UX to maintain robust and scalable platforms. Key responsibilities include designing automated testing strategies and enhancing CI/CD workflows. The position requires a strong background in automated testing and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated testing strategies to maintain high levels of coverage across services.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Delivery, and UX to align on quality standards and testable requirements.
- Ensure thorough cloud-based testing across the full stack, including databases, pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Lead and manage automated performance testing for every release candidate, reflecting real-world usage and traffic patterns.
- Enhance and support CI/CD workflows, integrating automated tests into release pipelines.
Key Skills:
- Node.js/JavaScript - for writing and maintaining automated tests.
- Playwright - for end-to-end test automation in web applications.
- Java - for API and Back End test automation.
- RestAssured - for automated API testing.
- Automated performance testing - experience designing and maintaining load/performance tests for high-traffic services.
- AWS - experience testing in cloud environments and working with AWS services.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated testing fits into modern deployment workflows.
- Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.
Salary (Rate): £400 per day
