Summary: Senior QA Automation / SDET Engineer role requires a candidate with SC and NPPV3 Security Clearance and extensive hands-on experience in automation testing using JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium WebDriver. The position is based in Birmingham, offering a hybrid working arrangement with a focus on large-scale Government projects. The contract is for 6 months with a competitive daily rate, emphasizing collaboration within Agile teams and expertise in various testing and CI/CD tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extensive hands-on experience with JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium WebDriver within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Spring applications, microservices, and distributed architectures.
- Good understanding in PostgreSQL, including query optimisation, performance tuning, and data validation.
- Experience using WireMock for service virtualisation and integration isolation.
- Strong expertise in Performance, Load, and Stress testing using JMeter.
- Proven experience leading testing activities within Agile delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
- Ability to analyse complex systems, identify risks, and design effective test strategies.
- Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, and related engineering tools.
Key Skills:
