This is an opportunity for an SC CLEARED Python Developer working at the forefront of digital Defence technology. The successful candidate will work in a cutting-edge public-sector project, seeking to exploit data for the benefit of the nation.

Required Experience/ Skills: 
  • Experience with Python, including using Python to build APIs
  • Knowledge of RESTful API principles
  • Experience with ElasticSearch
  • Awareness of Git, CICD pipelines and containers
  • Knowledge of security in a web context
  • Ability to write automated test scripts using Pytest
  • Desirable experience: Flask, Celery, S3-compatible service, Pydantic data visualisation library, GitHub
Required Non-Technical Skills:
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Supporting the wider team to generate solutions to combat complex problems, to improve efficiency and decision making.
  • Collaboration with other developers, completing code reviews
  • Appreciation for agile working methods and Government Digital Service standards
  • Willingness to be part of the requirement gathering & definition aspect of the engagement
  • Appreciation for full stack development is a strong advantage
Additional Information 
  • Rate offered: 475 per day
  • IR35 Status: Outside 
  • Location: Hybrid, 1 day per fortnight on site in Hampshire. 
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 1 year
  • Required: ACTIVE SC Clearance
