Are you an experienced Python Developer passionate about leveraging data science to drive strategic decision-making and system planning? We're seeking a skilled consultant to join exciting projects within a forward-thinking organization, leading advancements in energy systems and market strategies.

About the Role


This is a 2-year contract
opportunity to work on impactful development projects aimed at creating decision-support applications for strategic system responsibility. You'll focus on developing data-driven tools to tackle the complexity of modern energy systems, collaborating closely with data scientists and power system analysts across units.

Key Responsibilities


  • Perform quantitative analyses and present insights.

  • Design, develop, and implement innovative services.

  • Collaborate with end-users to refine and adapt services based on evolving needs.

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain applications using modern technologies.

  • Continuously improve existing applications to enhance performance.

  • Support IT system management, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and user assistance.



Technologies & Platforms

The role involves working with technologies such as:


  • Programming:
    Python

  • Infrastructure:
    Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

  • Version Control & CI/CD:
    Azure DevOps



Qualifications


  • 5 9 years of experience in Python development, with a strong foundation in data science.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects and mentoring peers.

  • Ability to work independently and lead smaller teams when needed.

  • Familiarity with quantitative analysis and creating complex system applications.



This is a hybrid office-based opportunity with partial remote work flexibility (subject to agreement).

Full time engagement with the potential for variations in scope based on organizational needs.
