We are seeking an experienced Python Engineer (Pyspark) to join our clients team on a 6-month contract.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement. Three days per week are required onsite in Glasgow. You will be working alongside one of the UK's leading financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative software solutions by executing design, development, and technical troubleshooting tasks.
• Develop and maintain data processing applications using PySpark and Python.
• Optimize and tune PySpark jobs for performance and scalability.
• Ensure the operational stability of developed systems through rigorous testing and troubleshooting.

What You Will Ideally Bring/Skillset

• Hands-on experience with Python or PySpark.
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
