Summary: The role of Python / AWS Engineer involves designing, scaling, and securing cloud-native applications for a premier Technology firm. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build scalable back-end services using Python (3.10+) and FastAPI/Flask.
  • Provision and manage AWS resources (Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC) using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Own and optimize CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor performance via CloudWatch and manage cloud cost-efficiency.
  • Drive quality through TDD and Pair Programming within an Agile framework.

Key Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask).

Python / AWS Engineer (Contract): Agency: Digisourced (DCG IT Ltd) – Acting as an Employment Business

Locations: Nottingham (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) | London (Hybrid – occasional travel to Nottingham)

Rate: £350 per day (Subject to experience)

Engagement: Umbrella only (via FCSA/Professional Passport accredited providers)

The Assignment: Digisourced is representing a premier Technology firm seeking a seasoned Python / AWS Engineer for a long-term contract. This isn't just a scripting role; you will be instrumental in designing, scaling, and securing cloud-native applications that power core enterprise services. You will join an agile squad tasked with shipping production-ready Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and high-performance back-end systems from day one.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop: Build scalable back-end services using Python (3.10+) and FastAPI/Flask.
  • Architect: Provision and manage AWS resources (Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC) using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Streamline: Own and optimize CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Optimize: Monitor performance via CloudWatch and manage cloud cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate: Drive quality through TDD and Pair Programming within an Agile framework.

Technical Requirements:

Languages/Frameworks: Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask).

  • Proven Track Record: Typically, 5+ years of professional cloud engineering experience is required to hit the ground running.

Compliance & Assignment Details:

Role Type: Contract / Temporary Assignment.

Duration: 6–12 Months (Initial) + potential extensions.
