This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Track CRE / Lead Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure programme delivering significant track and rail systems.
This is a construction-focused role combining CRE and Lead Engineer responsibilities, with the successful candidate responsible for leading the engineering team while supporting the safe and efficient delivery of PWay works.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Track / PWay CRE
- CRE sign-off is highly desirable
- 2-3+ years' experience operating as a CRE
- Strong PWay / track construction experience
- Experience leading and coordinating engineering teams
- Strong understanding of construction delivery and engineering controls
- Experience working within a safety-critical rail environment
- Ability to provide technical leadership throughout construction
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation and compliance
- HNC / HND / BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- PTS
This would suit an experienced Track CRE / Lead Engineer who is confident leading an engineering function while remaining focused on construction delivery.
The projects include approximately 4.2 miles of new track and S&C.
Projects are expected to run through to mid-2029, providing approximately three years of long-term contract work.
