Summary: The role of Site Agent involves overseeing rail and civil engineering projects for a contractor in the London and Kent area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the Project Management team.
  • Subbie Management: Send out tender packs (ITTs), take subcontractors on-site to explain the jobs, and show them exactly what needs doing.
  • Paperwork & Briefings: Write the Work Package Plans and Task Briefings, and make sure Stephen signs them off before work starts.
  • Track Access & Whiteboards: Update the site whiteboards and run the readiness reviews to make sure everyone is ready for the possession.
  • Site Problem Solving: Act as the middleman between the site teams and Stephen to fix any issues that pop up during the shift.
  • Welfare & Logistics: Book all the site welfare facilities and make sure the site is set up correctly for the lads.
  • Safety & Oversight: Use your PTS and SMSTS (and COSS/TWC if needed) to keep the site safe and make sure the work is being done right.

Key Skills:

  • Degree qualified in civil engineering, construction management or equivalent, or experience from working on the tools.
  • Previous experience working on rail projects.
  • A valid CSCS card, SSSTS or SMSTS, and PTS.
  • TWC and COSS would be great.

Detailed Description From Employer:

I'm looking for an experienced Site Agent to join my client, a rail/civil engineering contractor who are working on a large rail framework in the London and Kent area. The ideal candidate will need to have access to a car but you will not need to use it every day.

You will need previous rail civils experience. Project experience includes rail station upgrades, embankment stabilisation, drainage, earthworks, concrete structures, bridges, UTX, track etc.

Experience with ground investigations, topographical surveys, ecology (dormmice, badgers, trees, bats) and drainage.

This role is INSIDE of IR35 - you will be PAYE via Umbrella or Randstad
