Summary: The Prudential Valuation / PRA & EBA Audit Consultant role is focused on delivering audit and assurance work within a regulated financial services environment, specifically related to Prudential Valuation frameworks and regulatory compliance. The consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess valuation methodologies, identify control gaps, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements. This position requires on-site work five days a week from May to December 2026. Strong experience in internal and external audit, as well as knowledge of PRA and EBA frameworks, is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver audit and review activity across Prudential Valuation processes and controls.
- Support PRA and EBA-related audit planning, fieldwork, testing, and reporting.
- Assess valuation methodologies, prudent valuation adjustments, control frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
- Review governance, policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with prudential regulation requirements.
- Identify control gaps, findings, and remediation actions, and track closure of audit issues.
- Partner with Finance, Risk, Front Office, Regulatory Reporting, and Compliance teams to obtain evidence and challenge control design and effectiveness.
- Prepare high-quality audit workpapers, reports, and stakeholder updates.
- Support delivery of internal audits, external reviews, and regulatory-driven assurance activity.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across valuation controls and regulatory audit readiness.
- Ensure work is completed in line with agreed timelines, quality standards, and audit methodology.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in Prudential Valuation / PruVal within financial services.
- Proven background in internal audit, external audit, risk assurance, or regulatory assurance delivery.
- Good understanding of PRA and EBA regulatory frameworks and expectations.
- Financial services experience is essential.
