Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test propulsion systems, including jet engines, rocket engines, thrusters, or hybrid propulsion units
- Perform performance analysis, CFD simulations, and thermodynamic calculations to evaluate efficiency and reliability
- Support engine integration into the overall vehicle architecture, working closely with structural, systems, and controls teams
- Participate in component-level and system-level testing, including static fire or wind tunnel tests
- Troubleshoot propulsion-related issues during development or operational phases
Key Skills:
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred for advanced roles)
- 2+ years of experience working with propulsion systems (liquid, solid, air-breathing, or electric)
- Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, combustion, and materials science
- Familiarity with design and analysis tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, CFD packages, or NPSS
- Experience with electric or hybrid propulsion systems
- Background in space propulsion (e.g., ion thrusters, Hall-effect thrusters)
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing in propulsion components
- Exposure to systems engineering or safety-critical design processes
