Summary: The role of Property Lawyer involves providing legal expertise to a local authority in North Wales, focusing on non-contentious property, procurement, and contract law matters. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and draft documentation for property transactions, procurement, and contract law matters.
- Advise on freedom of information requests related to legal practice.
- Represent the Council in tribunals, hearings, mediations, and inquiries when required.
- Deliver training within areas of expertise and support junior staff and trainees.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support a collaborative, one-council approach.
- Ensure high standards of legal practice, engage in continuous professional development, and attend relevant training.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer, or Barrister with a current practising certificate.
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualified experience in procurement law, property transactions, and construction contracts.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with procurement challenges, property litigation, or project management (desirable).
