Summary: The Project Support Administrator at Newcastle University will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Duke of Northumberland Chair of Rural Economy within the Centre for Rural Economy. This part-time, fixed-term role involves coordinating project meetings, managing communications, and supporting project teams in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to improving processes. The position is part of a collaborative team focused on sustainable development in rural areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support project meetings, including arranging logistics and drafting agendas.
- Provide administrative support to project leads and teams, including diary management and travel arrangements.
- Lead the administration of designated project processes and monitor progress.
- Support project meetings and events, and manage project documentation and records.
- Respond to enquiries and provide clear advice to colleagues and customers.
- Develop and maintain effective project procedures and systems.
- Gather and manage data for project reporting and ensure data integrity.
- Perform any other duties within the scope of the role as required.
Key Skills:
- Working knowledge of relevant systems and standard software packages.
- Good numeracy and IT skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and handle conflicting priorities.
- Experience working in a diverse team and with senior managers.
- Experience in meeting administration, including agenda and minute preparation.
