Summary: The Project Planner role involves providing planning and scheduling expertise for large-scale onshore renewable energy projects. The position requires collaboration with project teams to develop and manage detailed schedules, ensuring projects are delivered safely and on time. The role is critical in supporting the transition to a net zero future through effective project management. This is a 6-month contract based in Perth, Scotland, with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 across the full project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to build realistic, logic-driven programmes
  • Analyse critical paths, risks, and delays, supporting mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines
  • Conduct delay analysis and assess the impact of change events, variations, and contractor claims
  • Ensure compliance with NEC3/NEC4 contract requirements
  • Produce clear planning reports and provide insights to support decision-making and project performance

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in project planning and scheduling within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
  • Experience in sectors such as renewable energy, power, utilities, or civil engineering is highly desirable
  • Strong experience using Primavera P6 to develop and manage complex project schedules
  • Experience working under NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, including delay analysis and change management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multidisciplinary project teams across full project lifecycles
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site execution
  • Ability to analyse complex data and provide clear, actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused approach
