Summary: The Project Planner role involves managing a Primavera P6 programme for the construction of a battery storage facility under NEC contracts. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive daily rate outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain integrated programmes under NEC4 contracts.
  • Build and manage Primavera P6 schedules, including cost-loading where required.
  • Support programme change management, delay analysis, and impact assessments.
  • Produce clear, high-quality reporting for client and senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with delivery and commercial teams.
  • Contribute to risk identification and mitigation planning.
  • Support programme assurance and best practice development.

Key Skills:

  • Strong background in infrastructure, civil engineering & mechanical project planning.
  • Experience working for or alongside principal contractors.
  • Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts.
  • Strong Primavera P6 capability.
  • Confident communicator with some client-facing exposure.
  • Commercially aware and detail-oriented.

Salary (Rate): £500.00 daily

Project Planner – Mechanical MEP Exeter | Hybrid Contract outside IR35

We’re working with a leading business who require a project planner to manage a P6 programme for the construction of a battery storage facility. As this project moves into the construction phase, your role will be to manage the programme under an NEC contract, reviewing the sub-contractors’ programmes and deliverables. The project has 3 years to run and site presence is required to ensure accurate reporting of key milestone achievement.

The Role
