Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation of new Capital Gains Tax software within the Life Tax Team.
- Drive and manage the testing of new technology against legacy systems.
- Lead project delivery including project planning, client communications, data configuration, testing, and implementation.
- Engage with clients to present and discuss the conversion plan and timelines.
- Provide regular status updates to clients and internal senior management.
- Escalate any delays or barriers to UK and EMEA Tax leadership.
- Support testing of outputs from the new system with State Street testers.

Tax Specialist Project Manage (UK Life Tax - Capital Gains Tax) required by a global Investment Bank/Asset Management firm, based in London (Flexible working from home model).
- You will be working within Life Tax Team - and the specific project will be implementing a new 'Capital Gains Tax' software in that team.
- Replacing all the Legacy tech and you will drive and manage the testing of the new tech vs the old tech
- Go live in July/Aug
Project to onboard a new 3rd party vendor/technology over 2026 with plan to have technology fully implemented and live across all impacted clients/associated funds by 2026.
Lead and project manage the delivery of the project in terms of managing the project plan, client comms, data configuration & take-on, testing and final implementation.
Key stages of the project include Requirements, Planning and Client Communication Stage, Data Configuration Stage, Data Take on Stage, Testing Stage & Implementation Stages.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
The ideal candidate would have experience as a Project Manager plus the following:
- Sound knowledge of UK Life funds tax covering all relevant capital gains tax rules incl. deemed disposal spreading, loss utilization/offsetting, asset classification and loan relationship rules etc.
- Strong data analytics - ability to compare, reconcile validate outputs from Legacy system to new system.
- Ability to lead a manage a test team of 3-4 people.
- Strong project management skills to oversee the data configuration/take-on, testing and implementation phases.
- Engage with each client to present and discuss the conversion plan and timings to implement the new software on a go-live basis.
- Provide regular status updates to each client on conversion progress against the conversion plan for each client.
- Provide clear status updates to internal senior management on overall progress against the conversion plan agreed.
- Escalate any delays or barriers to that plan to UK and EMEA Tax leadership.
- Support testing of the output from the new system working with State Street testers across UK and Poland locations.
- Excellent communications and presentational skills (written and verbal) to engage with clients and internal stakeholders as regards project progress.
