Summary: The Project Manager - Strategy and Policy role involves managing projects within the Strategy & Policy PMO for a high-profile Energy client. The position requires collaboration with various teams to support strategic projects and responses to statutory requests. The role demands proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies. The contract is for an initial duration of six months with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables using Agile methodologies.
- Facilitate Agile activities such as stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Lead the creation of project plans for Waterfall projects, establishing clear objectives and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, conduct phase gate reviews, and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Collaborate with external teams to support projects, including Regulation and Corporate Affairs.
- Represent projects at internal governance forums and assist the Programme Manager with external governance.
- Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and evaluate project management tools and frameworks.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Certification in Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in the energy sector or regulated industry is highly advantageous.
