Summary: You will lead cross-functional teams in an award-winning bank, focusing on delivering data products and analytics capabilities. As a Project Manager - Scrum Master, you will inspire and empower teams while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The role requires managing product backlogs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within an agile environment. Your leadership will be crucial in driving successful data platform changes across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary teams/pods delivering data & analytics products and features in an agile environment
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring delivery excellence and value creation
  • Coordinate squad activities, resolve blockers, and ensure optimal performance
  • Drive planning, execution and governance across multiple data change workstreams
  • Influence decision-making, manage risks/issues, and ensure benefits realisation
  • Act as primary liaison between the teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation
  • Promote agile practices, run ceremonies, and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure the team has the right skills, resources and alignment with UK CDAO strategy
  • Identify synergies, reduce complexity, and support standardisation across teams

Key Skills:

  • 6+ years' proven experience leading pods/squads/cross-functional teams in global Matrix organisations
  • Strong background in data platforms, data products, data migration and data change delivery
  • Track record delivering on time, on budget, with measurable business value/benefits realisation
  • Proven ability to run agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe/Sprint planning/backlog management)
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, RAIDs, resources, dependencies
  • Excellent stakeholder management up to ExCo level
  • Strong understanding of financial services
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement, standardisation and cross-squadalignment
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with HSBC change framework, governance and standards (preferred)
