Project Manager (SC cleared)

Summary: The role of Project Manager (SC cleared) involves overseeing a major Ministry of Defence Windows 11 deployment programme, requiring extensive travel across the UK and internationally. The position demands hands-on management of onsite engineering teams and coordination of deployment activities. The ideal candidate will possess SC clearance and experience in complex, multi-site deployments, particularly in secure environments. This contract role is set for a duration of six months with a focus on improving IT infrastructure for defence personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Migration Setup
• Obtain access to onsite storage and manage project stock
• Brief and instruct contractor engineers on site-specific rules and protocols
• Coordinate daily migration refresh schedules with contractor teams
• Provide collected Device Designation Rules to engineers
• Set up and manage Laptop Refresh Clinics
• Daily management of onsite laptop refresh activities
• Manage end-of-day reporting and escalation handling
• Ensure contractor workflow management tooling is updated accurately
• Daily management of VIP and ANS user migrations
• Maintain end-of-day reporting, escalation handling, and tooling updates
• Populate and submit Migration Completion Reports to Authority Site Leads
• Populate and upload the Authority’s C-RAP reports to the designated file store

Key Skills:

• Current SC Level Clearance
• Strong onsite management experience across complex, multi-site deployments
• Hands-on leadership and workflow management of engineering teams
• Previous experience in deployment and migration projects (Windows 11 experience preferred)
• Excellent communication, reporting, and escalation handling skills
• Ability and flexibility to travel extensively across the UK and internationally
• Familiarity with MOD or highly secure environments (preferred but not mandatory)
