Project Manager - Procurement (Nuclear, 12-Month Contract - Inside IR35) We're working with our client, a major nuclear infrastructure programme, to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead Owners Scope procurement activities.
You'll plan, coordinate, and control procurement packages directly managed by our client, ensuring strong governance, clear performance reporting, and seamless integration with the wider delivery organisation.
This hybrid role is based in Warrington on a 12-month contract, offering the chance to play a key part in a high-profile, regulated programme.
Key Skills & Experience
- Project Management: Leading complex packages, maintaining schedules, and driving delivery to agreed milestones.
- Procurement: Planning and coordinating Owners Scope procurement packages, separate from main EPC/GC contracts.
- Stakeholder Management: Building strong relationships, chairing progress reviews, and ensuring clear communication across our client's team and partners.
- Supplier Management: Monitoring supplier performance and resolving commercial, technical, and delivery issues promptly.
- Project Controls: Managing cost forecasts, risk and issue logs, action trackers, and performance reporting.
- Interface Management: Coordinating handoffs, access, integration, and commissioning readiness between suppliers and the wider programme.
- Energy/Transport/Utilities Infrastructure: Experience within large, regulated programmes in these sectors.
- Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying: Background in commercial or QS disciplines supporting robust procurement and contract oversight.
- APM PMQ / PRINCE2 / PMP: Project management accreditation, demonstrating structured delivery and governance.
- CIPS: Procurement qualification supporting best-practice sourcing and supplier engagement.
