The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced VP-level Markets Operations professionals to join a major global books and records migration programme within a leading international financial institution.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile transformation supporting the migration of Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) and OTC Clearing books and records. You will bring your specialist reconciliations and controls expertise to a complex, global project, helping ensure a smooth transition while maintaining operational integrity.
The role is ideal for a hands-on operations specialist who understands the intricacies of listed derivatives, global reconciliations and clearing processes, and who can confidently collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the books and records migration programme, applying a strong reconciliations and controls lens.
- Manage and coordinate testing cycles, contributing to test design, execution and issue resolution.
- Provide subject matter expertise across global CCP reconciliations, books and records, and collateral.
- Work closely with Operations, Technology, Project and other key stakeholders to ensure successful migration delivery.
- Review and assess new procedures resulting from the migration, identifying opportunities to optimise processes without compromising delivery.
- Use your operational expertise to identify potential risks, challenges and headwinds, developing creative solutions to mitigate issues.
- Create and maintain relevant operational and project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and Managing Director level.
- Collaborate with the wider Markets Operations team to support delivery and maintain high-quality controls.
What We're Looking For
- Strong, demonstrable experience in Markets Operations, with a particular focus on reconciliations and controls.
- Extensive experience working with Exchange Traded Derivatives, Futures or OTC Clearing.
- Strong knowledge of listed products and exchange environments, ideally including:
- LME
- CME
- APAC markets and exchanges
- Other major global exchanges
- Experience with global CCP reconciliations, books and records and/or collateral processes.
- A solid understanding of operational controls and the impact of large-scale platform or systems migrations.
- Previous experience managing or contributing to testing cycles is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, analytical and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work independently as a subject matter expert while collaborating effectively across a global programme.
Project management experience is advantageous, but the priority is strong hands-on Markets Operations and reconciliations expertise.
