As we mobilise one of the largest and most dynamic venue portfolios in the UK, we’re looking for a Project Manager to lead the mobilisation and build of our NEC operations in Birmingham.
Overview BUILT by Levy – a multi-disciplined service solution that gives venues the advantage of experts under one umbrella to reimagine food and drink spaces. Multi-disciplinary components include consultancy, project deployment, tech solutions, brand vision and development, design, build, data insight and analytics reporting. Levy have recently signed an exciting new contract to deliver services at the NEC family. This includes two music stadiums, the NEC exhibition centre and the ICC conferencing centre along with several other smaller venues. Levy have committed to deliver a multi-million-pound capital investment programme across three of the venues and we are seeking a strong project manager to join our team, leading squads of multi-disciplinary experts to deliver design and build and technology solutions across these new venues.
Your focus will be to manage delivery of capital investment projects for the NEC contract portfolio of projects from developing the brief, establishing and leading squads of internal and external experts to managing projects through to delivery. We are looking for a strong, dynamic, and fresh thinking senior project manager who will be able to lead both our strategic and tactical projects, communicating and ensuring the successful delivery of the varied projects. In addition, it requires an excellent communicator at all levels, and the ability to work at pace on multiple projects without compromising quality or compliance. This role is also required to develop strong working relationships within the team as well as with all key stakeholders, partners and suppliers; both internally and externally. A passion for detailed planning is a key role in delivering our vision of the ultimate guest experience, a food and beverage background is a positive attribute.
Role Purpose You will be responsible for the key areas below (amongst other general responsibilities). Responsible for overseeing all aspects of any given project - process, planning to budget, including coordinating with different teams, suppliers and clients on projects to make sure projects meet intended goals Communication: Keeping communications clear and accurate and giving progress reports for all projects in line with the Built by Levy process. Responsible for brief development and sign off, forecast and set budget requirements, identifying required experts and establishing a project squad. Monitoring the project costs, timescales and resources used and able to act when these deviate from agreed tolerances. Responsible for the production of plans, documentation and providing guidance to project teams and ensuring communication is maintained between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all organisational procedures are adhered to. Entrepreneurially minded - strong understanding of how the business works at different levels in support of creating new avenues in which the businesses can grow and be best in class within the industry Translate vision and strategy clearly, ensuring that tactical business plans exist for each project aligned with client vision Showcases industry trends in line with Levy UK strategy and venue vision Exhibits strong financial acumen, support with ROI / business case for project– ensuring Levy and client strategic aims are met.
