Summary: The Project Manager - Learning and Development role involves overseeing the implementation of a Learning and Development contract across public sector prisons in Scotland. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and adherence to contractual obligations. The role is home-based with necessary travel across Scotland and is offered as a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the Learning and Development contract across public sector prisons in Scotland.
• Collaborate with internal and external workstream leads, including HR, IT, Operations, Commercial, Quality, Marketing, and Training.
• Liaise with the Scottish Prison Service and other relevant stakeholders.
• Lead regular project and individual workstream meetings with stakeholders.
• Identify and manage issues, risks, constraints, and dependencies during mobilisation and transition.
• Conduct regular programme reporting on progress against key milestones to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to contractual, commercial, and operational obligations through partnerships with relevant departments.

Key Skills:

• Experience in a similar Project Management position, particularly in central government projects.
• Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the Scottish Criminal Justice system (highly desirable).
• Strong leadership skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Flexibility with travel across Scotland.
