Summary: Our major Oil & Gas client is seeking a Project Manager IV for a 12-month assignment in Raleigh, NC. The role involves overseeing all phases of projects, acting as the primary contact for project activities, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in project management within the oil and gas industry, particularly with Natural Gas Pipeline and LNG projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports all phases of projects from inception through completion.
- Acts as primary contact for project activities, leading project review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies project problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Liaise with business functions to understand ongoing needs.
- Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. 10+ years of relevant experience.
Key Skills:
- Significant experience in project management, often within the oil and gas or energy industry, with a focus on Natural Gas Pipeline, compression and LNG Peak Shaving facility Projects.
- Understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes, Relevant technical experience of LNG projects, Transmission and distribution pipelines highly desired.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage cross-functional collaboration, and build strong relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Typically a bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certifications like PMP are often preferred.
- Familiarity with LNG project lifecycle, regulatory requirements, and project management tools and systems.
