Role Overview

The Project Manager oversees the end-to-end migration program, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with governance and compliance standards.

This role coordinates multiple technical streams-including Enterprise, Automation, Infrastructure, and DevOps-while managing stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and reporting.

The Project Manager will lead planning, execution, and delivery of migration activities to support a secure, scalable, and compliant platform.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery: Lead the migration program from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.

Develop and maintain detailed program plans, budgets, risk registers, and dependency maps.

Coordinate technical streams to ensure integrated designs and successful migration outcomes.

Oversee production of high-quality documentation, including recovery runbooks and architectural designs.

Stakeholder & Governance

Act as the primary point of contact for all program stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and reporting.

Liaise with business and technical teams to capture requirements and align with HSBC governance and compliance standards.

Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and executive reporting on progress, risks, and issues.

Team Coordination

Manage and align activities across specialized roles: Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, Automation Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Administrators.

Ensure collaboration between streams to support automation, integration, and platform stability during migration.

Budget & Vendor Management

Manage third-party vendors and ensure timely delivery of contracted services.

Track program costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.

Risk & Issue Management

Drive proactive risk identification, mitigation strategies, and issue resolution across all streams.

Maintain compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards throughout the migration program.

Essential Experience & Skills

Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure migration programs within financial services.

Strong understanding of systems architecture, operational processes.

Excellent organizational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
