Summary: The IT Project Manager will oversee multiple concurrent ICT projects, ensuring they are delivered within the agreed time, budget, and quality criteria. Reporting to the IT Programme Manager, the role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects while coordinating with various teams and third-party vendors. The position requires effective communication with stakeholders and adherence to the organization's project governance criteria. Initially fully on-site in Watford, the working arrangement may evolve throughout the project duration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage project scope, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with the IT Management Team and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines using appropriate tools.
  • Track activities, project milestones, and deliverables against the project plan.
  • Report on project status weekly and manage project delivery from end to end.
  • Develop full-cycle project plans and associated documents.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, constraints, and dependencies within the project.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Manage project change requests and devise contingency plans.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Adhere to the project methodology and ensure accurate management of all project collateral.
  • Maintain professional communication and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Key Skills:

  • Qualification in a recognized project management methodology (e.g., Prince 2, PMI, APM).
  • Experience in an ITIL environment.
  • Experience in delivering IT infrastructure, COTS software, mobile apps, Microsoft Office 365, Internet of Things, and Big Data projects.
  • Adept with project software tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Project Server).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage project collateral accurately.
  • Hands-on approach to technical challenges.
