Project Manager

Summary: The Project Manager will lead key transformation projects, focusing on digital, data, process, and people improvements to achieve strategic objectives. This role involves planning, governance, communication, monitoring, and delivery of inter-dependent workstreams, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities while managing risks and dependencies. The position is a contract lasting between 6 to 9 months, requiring in-office presence 2 to 3 days a week in Swinton. The ideal candidate will bring best practice project management methodologies to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish clear phases and milestones for projects that reflect business targets and requirements.
• Establish clear scopes and business cases for projects to enable clarity of outcomes and shared goals.
• Ensure effective governance is in place for projects, including timely and quality reporting.
• Management of the RAID log for designated projects.
• Business change communication, engagement, and business readiness.
• Ensure projects have a defined scope for delivery and baselined plan, cost, and resource allocation.
• Management of project steering group/working group and their servicing RACI chart for project team.
• Reporting and risk management.

Key Skills:

• Experienced at establishing and maintaining effective project governance.
• Risk and issue management.
• Clear and concise reporting.
• Experience in projects that include technology/data/process change.
• Prince 2 or PMP Certification.
• Robust understanding of planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong background in project and programme delivery.
• A background of implementing best practice delivery methods.
