Summary: An experienced Project Manager is needed to oversee projects in a regulated nuclear site in Preston, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the safe delivery of assigned projects, making Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality (EHS&Q) the top priority
- Manage all aspects of project delivery including scope, schedule, cost, and quality
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and execution plans
- Monitor performance against baseline and forecast targets
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and opportunities
- Manage contractual requirements and drive value through change control
- Oversee design, engineering, procurement, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and testing activities
- Provide accurate project reporting, including financial and status updates
- Lead stakeholder engagement and governance activities
- Delegate responsibilities where appropriate while retaining overall accountability
- Support bid and proposal activities when required
Key Skills:
- Recognised Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent) or relevant degree
- Proven experience delivering projects within the nuclear decommissioning sector
- Strong understanding of project controls, risk management, and change management
- Experience working within highly regulated environments
- Competent in MS Office and general IT systems
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong stakeholder and contract management capability
- Experience working to structured project management frameworks
