Project Manager - Public Sector - Maritime Services - 12 month contract (inside IR35) - Southampton Hybrid (3 days onsite)
We have an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager to join a government programme closing specific navigation and regulatory knowledge gaps.
As the Project Manager, you will lead a defined project to assess the UK's current and future navigation needs, emerging technologies and international regulatory trends, and how these impact coastal state services. You will pull together evidence and stakeholder input into a final report and set of recommendations that will inform the future direction of UK coastal state services and underpin the UK's positions at international forums.
This may suit someone who has a background in the Royal Navy, cruise ships or similar, or experience with a national hydrographic or navigation-focused organisations.

- Professional Certificate of Master Mariner 2.2 unlimited
- Demonstrable command experience
- Senior level navigation experience
- Proven project experience, ideally involving research, analysis and stakeholder engagement
- Experience within government or coastal state services in an organisational (not solely shipboard) capacity
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured reports and recommendations
- Experience in a regulatory setting is desirable.
